Product Description
A spacious outdoor rabbit hutch for 2 rabbits sharing. Includes a large downstairs outdoor run area and an insulated hutch roof.
We can upgrade the rabbit hutch run to any length you want. Just ask!
For medium breeds such as French Lops etc. This 4ft large double rabbit hutch is made from Redwood and has exterior graded hardwood ply base panels.
The roof is boarded with the same shiplap as the hutch and is constructed on the same principle as the traditional roof on a domestic house. Beneath the boarding is a breathable water proof membrane to ensure a watertight construction. The roof also has a 3” (75mm) overhang to all sides.
The hutch is constructed from Swedish Redwood and is cladded on the outside with 12mm shiplap. The door frames are made out of a substantial 34mm x 46mm section and comes with two smaller solid boarded doors on the left and large wire doors on the right. The left hand side of the top hutch is designated as the sleeping area and there is an internal divider that can easily be removed. The lower hutch is an open area. The hutches are ramped down to the run with two separate ramps
The boarded doors come with black tower bolts as well as turn buttons for added security. The wire doors come with spring loaded catches and turn buttons as standard. The hutches sit on a run which is wired on the inside so as to stop chewing of the frames. There is a doorway at the end of the run to allow your pet access to the garden.
This hutch is made entirely in The United Kingdom by us and is not sold by any other company.
There are many variations of this hutch on the website to suit your budget and available space such as with or without a run. The size of run can vary to your preference in terms of length. Please contact us if you have any bespoke requirements as we are able to accommodate this during the construction stage.
This is a superior quality and well-constructed hutch offering over 40 cubic feet of living space and almost 41 cubic feet of run space.
The hutch is illustrated in Tanalised brown preservative and demonstrates the winterised panels in use.

Maintenance
All our products are finished with a Teak water based (non toxic) preservative. The timber should be re-coated with an equivalent preservative every year to ensure the maximum life span of the product.
Oil based coatings are the best as they tend to repel water before it penetrates the timber fibers.
Re-coating is best undertaken on a warm dry day or even better after a dry spell when the timber has had time to dry enough to absorb the coating you are applying.
Additional Protection
Here’s a bit of a tip – get yourself an atomizer spray!
Get yourself an atomizer spray – the sort you do your indoor plant leaves with. Most DIY shops sell what’s called a waterproofing agent. Thompson’s Water seal is a brand name but “B&Q” do their own brand.
Fill the atomizer with it and spray over the external surfaces of the product a couple of times a year. It’s really quick and easy. Don’t forget to wear appropriate mask and gloves. Follow the Health and safety instructions on the container.
